All of Us Photography Exhibition
All of Us is going to be Australia’s largest ever photographic portrait show. And it’s going to be mounted across the walls of the Crossbar at Federation Square.
Photographer Michel Lawrence set out to photograph at least one person from every different country of the world now living here in Australia. That’s about 231 countries according to the ABS. Michel has photographed about 220 people from these countries and together they form Australia’s first multicultural photographic extravaganza. The subjects range from far flung places from across the globe and all share one thing in common - they all want to be a part of Australia.
The photos measure 1.2m x1.2 m each and will make up a fascinating, dynamic and colourful new addition to the architecture of Fed Square. The installation will be launched on January 26 and will continue until 23 March, the start of Diversity Week. A large scale coffee table book – also called “All of Us” and published by Scribe Publishing will be launched at the same time.
